Are you capable of handling many clients for testing?

We are happy to service large groups. If your business or organization requires testing for more than 10 clients, please provide us with 48 hours’ notice so that we may ensure an optimal testing experience.

Can I pay with a credit card?

We accept most major credit cards, including Visa and MasterCard. We also accept cash or money orders. We do not accept personal checks.

Do I need to make an appointment for testing?

We accept walk-ins between the hours of 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. However, to ensure you secure the testing time of your choice we recommend that you schedule an appointment by clicking on our appointment schedule link. If you cannot find the time or test that is right for you on our site, try e-mailing us at info@mymednovations.com.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept any forms of insurance.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. We have qualified, friendly Spanish-speaking staff that can answer your questions or concerns.

What makes your company better than other collection sites?

We specialize in boutique style testing. We can provide your company or organization the attention to detail and the quality of service you deserve at a cost-effective price. All our specimen technicians are certified and knowledgeable about all the latest drug testing techniques. Questions about drug testing

Are drug tests performed by accredited labs?

Yes we only work with Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) accredited labs for accurate drug testing.

Are you a member of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA)?

Yes, we are a member of DATIA.

Are you familiar with drug testing for the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Merchant Marines, and the necessary paperwork needed for testing for these organizations?

We are absolutely familiar with the specifics associated with USCG drug testing. In fact, we can simplify the process for you and ensure you get your completed forms expeditiously.

Are your technicians certified?

Yes, our technicians are Department of Transportation (DOT) certified to perform drug testing and Lifeloc certified for breath alcohol testing. We also have certified hair testing technicians and oral fluid technicians on staff.

Do you offer drug tests for individual entrepreneurs or families?

Yes, we offer drug tests for individuals who may require testing for legal purposes, such as probation, or for individuals who may want to test a family member or themselves for personal reasons.

Do you offer instant drug test?

Yes, we do offer instant drug testing. Our instant tests provide answers within minutes. All positive instant test results require confirmation, which may take an additional two days.

Do you offer mobile or onsite drug testing?

For business in the Northern Virginia area that require testing for 10 or more employees at once, mobile testing can be arranged. Please contact us for more information.

How much time does a drug test take?

An uncomplicated hair follicle, blood, or urine test takes 15 to 20 minutes of a client’s time. If the client has difficulty urinating or does not have sufficient hair, the test maytake a little longer. An uncomplicated breath alcohol test takes 10 to 15 minutes.

How will I get my results?

Test results can be transmitted electronically via a web-based reporting platform or via secure e-mail. You may choose to receive a hard copy of test results in the mail.

What are the different ways you can test for alcohol?

Alcohol may be tested for via a breath test, in the urine, or through a blood test.

What is an oral fluid drug test?

An oral fluid drug tests takes a sample of saliva to test for drugs. The testing window for this type of test is only a few hours.

What kind of drugs do you test for?

The substances we test for include cocaine, methamphetamines, amphetamine, marijuana, opiates, phencyclidine, methadone, ecstasy, barbiturates, and benzodiazepines. Mednovations is also equipped to test for steroids and alcohol.

What’s the difference between a department of transportation (DOT) drug test and a regular drug test?

A DOT drug test or breath alcohol test must be performed by a DOT certified technician. The DOT urine test takes, on average, about two days to process. The results for a DOT breath alcohol test is available within minutes. Our technicians are DOT certified to perform drug testing and Lifeloc certified for breath alcohol testing.

When will I get my results?

Instant drug tests provide results in minutes. Other lab-based tests take two to three business days to process.

Why do a hair follicle drug test?

Hair follicles store drugs of abuse for up to 90 days and have a longer detection window.

Why should I drug test my employees?

Drug testing decreases the probability of hiring an employee who uses drugs, thus increasing workplace safety and productivity. Drug testing also helps to decrease business insurance costs.

How long does a DNA test take?

A DNA test takes 15 to 20 minutes of a client’s time.

How long does it take to get results back from a DNA test?

DNA tests can take approximately three to four business days. For an additional price, we can provide express DNA testing. Client’s will receive a hard copy of your results in the mail.

Is your testing done with American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) accredited labs?

Yes. We only work with American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) accredited labs for accurate DNA testing.

What type of DNA tests do you offer?

We offer a wide range of DNA testing. These include tests for paternity confirmation, ancestry establishment, immigration services, DNA banking, semen detection, and much more.

Can you address emergent or urgent medical conditions at home?

No. For all urgent or emergent medical conditions, please call 911.

Do you charge a travel fee to come to my home?

Yes. We charge a nominal fee to travel to your home. Please contact our office for details.

Do you see patients at nights or weekends?

No. We do not see patients at nights or weekends.

Does insurance cover the cost of my home visit?

In most cases, insurance will cover the cost of your physical examination. When insurance does not cover the cost of your physical exam, we charge a nominal out of pocket fee

What type of patients do you see at home?

We see patients who are homebound, disabled or elderly. We do not see children at home.

What types of insurance do you accept?

We accept Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna and United Health Care. In the near future, we will be accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tricare, Optima and Cigna.
